One group raised enough money for a much needed van for the team.
G. Sterns writes: I was cautious at first and only bought one box for our softball team. We had fifteen volunteers and needed a used van for our team.
Once we received the product, we use them as samples and went to local businesses, office buildings and pre sold them. Everyone wanted the flowers that same day, it was hard to hold on to it, towards the end we sold all the samples so they wouldn’t go to waste.
We targeted some local restaurants and hotels who we figured would benefit from displaying fresh flowers in the establishment. We had a couple of them give us some nice pre orders. One owner bought a whole box of Carnations from us. Most prepaid, others gave 50%. This helped us come up with money to buy more product.
By the end of our second week, we raised $4,200 enough for the van. Our summer fund raiser was a success and we are all looking forward to doing another flower fund-raiser soon. No more candles or candy for us!
G. Golden writes: We bought small and medium vases at the dollar store and sold the carnations this way. The flowers sold like hot cakes at our church fundraiser. We averaged 65% profit! Thank you!
J. Perez writes: We put on our team jersey and hit the streets. We made two teams of four members each and targeted Friday (pay day) rush hour traffic at busy street crossings. We sold out of flowers in just under two hours and made $250.00. Other members tried chocolates and coupon books. Some of the chocolate bars melted in the Florida heat. By far, the carnation box was the best deal for our investment and efforts. We are going to regroup with more members for a bigger drive with your product. I’m glad we found your web site!
